Barcelona begins its European journey with a fiery squad against Feyenoord

German Hans Flick, the technical director of Barcelona, announced his team's squad in preparation for facing Dutch Feyenoord on Wednesday evening, as part of the first round of the league stage in the Champions League for the 2026/2027 season.

The squad included young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim, as the player continues to appear in the first team's calculations, after he was also registered in Barcelona's squad participating in the European competition this season.

Barcelona will host its counterpart Feyenoord at the Camp Nou stadium, at the start of its Champions League campaign, where the Catalan team hopes to continue its strong start and achieve a positive result that gives it an early boost in the continental competition, especially after achieving full points in its first four matches in the Spanish League.

Barcelona's squad to face Feyenoord is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Juan Garcia, Wojciech Szczęsny, Dominik Livaković.

Defenders: João Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsí, Xavi Espart, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martín, Jules Koundé.

Midfielders: Rodri, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Bryan Farrinás, Marc Bernal, Gavi, Fermín López.

Forwards: Hamza Abdel Karim, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Gabriel Jesus, Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi.

Barcelona will be without Éric García for the match due to suspension, while Frenkie de Jong and Rony Barossi are absent due to injury.

Flick hopes that his team will continue its strong performances at the start of the season, and that Barcelona will succeed in achieving its first European victory against Feyenoord, a step that will give it an ideal start to its Champions League campaign.
