Dembele won the 2025 Ballon d'Or after a remarkable season with Paris Saint-Germain, crowning it with the French League, French Cup, Champions League, and European Super Cup titles.<\/p>\n
Dembele received many congratulatory messages after winning the Ballon d'Or, most notably a congratulation from his compatriot Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid star, in addition to other messages from his teammates in the national team and club.<\/p>\n
Dembele said, in a statement highlighted by French newspaper L'\u00c9quipe from an interview with "France Football" magazine: "Messi sent me a congratulatory message right after I won the Ballon d'Or".<\/p>\n
Argentine Lionel Messi, the current Inter Miami star and former Barcelona player, is the player with the most Ballon d'Or awards, having won it 8 times during his career.<\/p>\n
Dembele previously played with Lionel Messi when the duo were at Barcelona, before the Argentine left in the summer of 2021, to move to Paris Saint-Germain, and then to Inter Miami.<\/p>\n
