Al-Ahli team secured an exciting victory over their guest Al-Nassr with a score of three goals to two, in the top match of the 13th round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League.
The Inma Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah hosted the Clasico match, which witnessed great excitement from the very first minutes between Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr.
Al Ahly started the match strongly and missed some early chances before the Englishman Ivan Toney managed to open the scoring in the seventh minute following an impressive effort from the Brazilian Galeno.
Ivan Toney returned to add Al-Ahli's second goal in the 20th minute, taking advantage of a clear one-on-one opportunity with goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi.
Abdullah Al-Omari reduced the score for Al-Nassr in the 31st minute, before scoring the second equalizer with a powerful header in the 44th minute.
At the start of the second half, Turkish player Merih Demiral scored Al Ahly's third goal with a header, following an excellent assist from Ivan Toni in the 55th minute.
The final minutes witnessed intense tension, as the referee showed two red cards—one to Ali Majrashi of Al-Ahli and another to Nawaf Boushal of Al-Nassr.
Al Ahly managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle, raising their total to 25 points in fourth place, while Al-Nassr suffered their first loss of the season despite remaining at the top with 31 points.
